The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) in collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Agriculture created a parent resource that provides information about the new federal nutrition standards. This resource may be accessed on the NJDOE’s Keeping Our Kids Safe, Healthy, and in School webpage at

This resource is appropriate for parents and families of students in grades K-12 in school districts that participate in the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program. School administrators, school employees, parents and students can access additional nutrition resources on the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) website at

SCHOOL LUNCH - CAFETERIA INFORMATION

Children in grades 1 through 5 may purchase a hot lunch for $1.90.  The regular complete lunch at MEMS and Pine Brook is $2.10.  Children in grades 6, 7 and 8 may purchase Boars Head and premium lunches for $2.85.  Lunch consists of a serving of protein, a serving of bread, your choice of two servings of fruit and/or vegetable and a milk.  A la carte snacks range from $.75 - $1.60.  Children who bring their lunch from home may purchase milk at school for $.65.
