Dear Parent/Guardian:

 

At the January 5, 2010 Board of Education meeting, a change to the district calendar was approved.  The calendar change only affects MEMS students. 

 

Wednesday, March 10th, Thursday, March 11th, and Friday, March 12th are no longer four hour days for MEMS students.  Students will attend a regular full day of school on those days.  MEMS Parent/Teacher conferences will not be held on those days.  The Parent-Teacher Conferences originally scheduled on March 10th, 11th, and 12th are scheduled to coincide with the State NJASK testing.

 

MEMS will have three four (4) hour days and Parent/Teacher Conferences on:

 

  Tuesday, April 27, 2010 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

  Wednesday, April 28, 2010   6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

  Thursday, April 29, 2010   12:45 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.

MEMS recently hosted a group of educators from China who came to observe our extensive middle school programs.  MEMS was the only middle school these educators chose to visit during their trip to the United States because of our outstanding programs and our consistency in achieving and maintaining high academic standards.  MEMS Student Ambassadors and student interpretors provided tours and insights into our academic programs and extra-curricula activities.
