Internet Safety Tips for Parents and Students
The digital age is upon us and current technology has expanded learning opportunities for individuals. Communication technology expands daily and provides us access to virtually everyone around the globe.
The internet, text messaging, e-mail, blogs, chat rooms, on-line message boards and wikis are just some ways we can communicate to other individuals or groups.
Safely navigating the internet is very important for all of us. The following are internet safety tips developed by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Welcome to the award winning New Jersey Star School, Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School, known also as MEMS.
It is hard to believe that the 2011/2012 school year is underway. It seems as if it were just yesterday that the names of the graduates of the class of 2010-2011 were being read at our ceremony at Brookdale Community College. We look forward to another outstanding year at the middle school.
The Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School is indeed well known for its strong academic curriculum but also for its host of extracurricular activities from athletics to clubs and the arts.
The Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School's focus is to develop the whole student, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Several ways we are addressing the students' needs this year are with a new mathematics textbook adoption, curriculum revisions, an enhanced character education program and advanced learning opportunities that are guided each day by a dedicated and energetic staff who are deeply engaged in curriculum and student learning.
Working together we will continue to provide our students with extraordinary educational opportunities. |

Information for Private High School Tuition Aid |
 |
 |
 |
 |
If you feel that a private high school would be the right step for your child after graduation from MEMS, but wonder how your family can afford the tuition, New Jersey SEEDS may be able to help. Motivated, high-achieving students of modest means are invited to apply for participation in New Jersey SEEDS (Scholars, Educators, Excellence, Dedication, Success). Admission to the program, which helps obtain substantial financial aid to attend private day and boarding schools, is made during the fall of 7th grade. Students who meet NJSEED's academic and financial criteria (grades of A/B; family of four income under $70,000) may apply. Selected students participate in a variety of academic programs throughout the summer and the 8th grade school year to prepare them for a successful private high school experience. For more information, contact recruitment@njseeds.org.
