The Business Office has been notified by PNC Bank that they will no longer accept checks or money orders made payable to individual schools.  This applies to payment of fees, tuition, fines and student lunch account deposits.  

Attention Parents/Guardians

Please check your bus information again after 3:30 on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 to see if any information changed.  Changes are sometimes made just prior to the first day.

Please anticipate that busses may be late in picking up and dropping off students during the first few days of school.  Your patience is greatly appreciated. It is strongly recommended that children take the bus to/from school to get into a consistent routine.

Report Card Timelines and Parent Handbooks

One manner in which parents/guardians are notified about a child's academic progress is through a standards based reporting method.  

Listed below are parent handbooks for grades K-5 which provide detailed information about this report card.  Sample report cards are provided within each handbook.

Students in kindergarten receive bi-annual report cards and will receive a paper copy of their report card time based on semesters:

The Semester 1 Kindergarten Report Card will be sent home on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.

The Semester 2 Kindergarten Report Card will be sent home on the last day of school.

Students in grades 1-5 are assessed on a trimester schedule.

Paper copies of report cards for students in grades 1-5 are not sent home. Parents/guardians access their child's report card via the Parent Portal. It is highly suggested that you print your child's report card each trimester as the Portal link to access the report card closes a few weeks after each trimester report card is available.

Manalapan-Englishtown PARCC Testing Information

Students in grades 3-5 at Milford Brook will take the 2017 PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) in March or April depending upon the schedule above. Makeups may occur in April and/or May.

Annual Integrated Pest Management Notice

For School Year 2017-2018


Dear Parent, Guardian, or Staff Member:


This notice is being distributed to comply with the New Jersey School Integrated Pest Management Act. Manalapan-Englishtown School District has adopted an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Policy and has implemented an IPM Plan to comply with this law. IPM is a holistic, preventive approach to managing pests that is explained further in the schools IPM Policy included with this notice.


All schools in New Jersey are required to have an Integrated Pest Management Coordinator (IPM Coordinator) to oversee all activities related to IPM and pesticide use at the school.

The IPM Coordinator maintains the pesticide product label, and the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) (when one is available), of each pesticide product that may be used on school property.  The label and the MSDS are available for review by a parent, guardian, staff member, or student attending the school.  Also, the IPM Coordinator is available to parents, guardians, and staff members for information and to discuss comments about IPM activities and pesticide use at the school.


As part of a school pest management plan Manalapan-Englishtown Milford Brook School may use pesticides to control pests.  The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) register pesticides to determine that the use of a pesticide in accordance with instructions printed on the label does not pose an unreasonable risk to human health and the environment.  Nevertheless, the EPA and the DEP cannot guarantee that registered pesticides do not pose any risk to human health, thus unnecessary exposure to pesticides should be avoided.  The EPA has issued the statement that where possible, persons who are potentially sensitive, such as pregnant women, infants and children, should avoid unnecessary pesticide exposure.

On the first day of school, all students will receive a copy of a consent form acknowledging that you have reviewed the information.  Please look for this in the packet of information that is brought home on the first day of school and return to the school by the due date indicated on the form.
